We heavily rely on our plumbing every day, our sinks, showers, and toilets are all must-haves that we wouldn’t be able to live without. However, it can be a major inconvenience when the plumbing pipes aren’t performing effectively – solutions could include either repairing, replacing or relining.

When there are issues with pipes, it may not necessarily always require replacing. Pipe relining repairs pipes without the need to replace them, it is the process of repairing cracked or broken pipes from the inside without digging and without an invasive process. It is essentially relining by creating a new, tougher pipe on the inside of the existing damaged one to create a better flow network and seal any cracks. The damaged section of the pipe is relined, sealing seamlessly against the rest of the pipe system, preventing any leaks and further breakages from occurring.

The process is quick, quiet and clean meaning that it is a “no-dig” solution and can be completed quite efficiently. However, pipe relining may not be a solution in all situations as it is dependent on the location of the pipes and the state of it. If the pipes have been damaged, crushed or have been completely collapsed by tree roots or if the pipelines have been dislodged severely, relining may not be an effective solution as the pipes would only follow the existing contours of the drainage system.
